The Challenge

What the Client Was Facing

A global HRM software vendor was running a Java monolith deployed to bare-metal servers via FTP. The team of 40 engineers shared one environment, causing constant conflict. Releases happened quarterly and each one took a full week of coordination.

Our Role

What ZippyOPS Was Engaged To Do

ZippyOPS was brought in to design and implement a solution addressing the root causes of the client's challenges β€” delivering measurable outcomes within a fixed engagement timeline. Our team worked embedded with the client's engineers throughout the entire project.

The Solution

How We Solved It

ZippyOPS containerised the application into independently deployable modules, set up a Jenkins-based CI pipeline and migrated workloads to Kubernetes on Azure AKS. Feature branching, PR-based review and automated testing were introduced alongside a developer portal built on Backstage.

Technologies Used

Jenkins Azure AKS Docker Kubernetes Helm Terraform Backstage SonarQube JFrog Artifactory Selenium
