The Challenge

What the Client Was Facing

A financial services firm had a 400-server fleet managed through manual SSH, ad-hoc scripts and outdated Puppet manifests. Configuration drift was a compliance risk, patching took months and new server provisioning required a 2-week wait.

Our Role

What ZippyOPS Was Engaged To Do

ZippyOPS was brought in to design and implement a solution addressing the root causes of the client's challenges β€” delivering measurable outcomes within a fixed engagement timeline. Our team worked embedded with the client's engineers throughout the entire project.

The Solution

How We Solved It

ZippyOPS audited the entire fleet and rebuilt the IaC foundation in Terraform for cloud resources and Ansible for configuration management. All servers were brought into CIS Benchmark Level 2 compliance via ArmorPlane. A self-service provisioning pipeline was built using GitLab CI with automated testing and approval workflows.
